Ok, you already know I watch music videos on youtube, right? Well I ran into this one and was wowed! And I don't get like that often.
Ok,, I confess. I watch Music Videos. My name is Tyree, and I am a member of *wait for it*.... You Tube.
I see a lot of music, some cool, some jamming, some that never should have been put on youtube because it has poor quality visual or audio. Some have both. Ugggg! Excuse me while I bleed from the eyes and the ears.
Anyway, I was on You Tube tonight and ran into this video. I know the artist, he's from my home town (DC), so I checked it out. I initially thought, this is not for children! Nope, it's over 21 rated.
But then I started listening to the words, and I fell out laughing. The Brother is trying to get so called grown azz people on the right tip!
That is why I decided it should be re-named to "Things you need to tell so called grown azz people..."
Come on Chris, what did you think was gonna happen? Did you think you would be able to walk away with beating a Black Woman, and still make big bank from Black Women? Nah Dude - that ain't it.
I'mma tell you the truth, I had serious issues with that mess. Who hit who first? How bad did he beat her? What started that mess? Ok, I watch it unfold, didn't like what I saw and heard and I really didn't like his 1/2 azzed video on the so called apology tip. Youtube is a beast when you mess up! Chris gotta hate youtube and blogs right about now.
Anyway, now he's crying 'cause Black Women (his major demographic) ain't buying his new cd. Oh well! You shoulda thought about that mess before you slapped/beat/punched the Sistah.
By the way, the radio station I listen to, a major Urban one in the DC-B-More-Northern VA community, plays his stuff on a regular. I hear it, and I like some of it, but I won't buy this one on principle. I refuse to reward an artist with my $$ if they really lose thier minds. I will see with the next one.
